Early in the morning, our trip from Marrakesh to Zagora starts at 7:00 am picking you up from the hotel. The trip’s group will pass by wonderful landscapes where numerous villages of Berber are scattered at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Our first target is to visit the fortified Ksar/ Ait Ben Haddou via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. The natural attractions of the Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou have been domineeringly used by the international cinema producers as a main site decoration since 1960’s. The moment you reach the fortified Ksar, you can’t help yourself getting to the highest peak. The view is breathtaking; the entire cinematic village is at your sight. You can capture every detail from high above; this looks amazing.
A visit to the African capital city of cinema would be quite interesting after that. You will also enjoy looking through the famous Taourirt Kasbahs where you are introduced to a type of building that is unfamiliar. Near the Kasbah, lunch is served where the most delicious dishes are set. Half an hour later, we will be ready taking the road driving along to Draa Valley. We aim to reach Zagora and the dunes after that. In the Saharan dunes, a camel trek at the sunset would be marvelous where the story turns similar to the Arabian tales. The group will stay in the dunes at the nomad desert camp having their tasty dinner and a brilliant overnight after. The night is typical, don’t miss it.
Day 2: Zagora Dunes – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:
The next day, before you got your breakfast ready, you had better wake up early at the sunrise since the scene of the first rising golden rays on the drowsy dunes is just unreplaceable. At that, you will feel alive. What a magical touch of mother nature!
In Zagora’s bivouac, the delicious meal of morning is served for you before you ride the camels back. You will meet the car’s driver to continue your trip back to Marrakesh, then pass via Ouarzazate to have lunch. Via the Atlas Mountains, we are going to drive backing to Marrakech at 17:00 pm in the afternoon.
