Leaving Marrakech to Ouarzazate is planned at 8:00 in the morning. In the way, we will cross the Atlas by the port of Tizi n’Tichka that is 2,260 meters high. Afterwards, we visit the Kasbah of the Pacha Glaoui in Telouet where we pass various Berber villages to reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is an incredible fortified city of more than 800 years old where the oldest Kasbahs are found. It is where many movies have been filmed as Gladiator and the Kingdom of Heaven. At the end, we go to Ouarzazate where the studios exist. Dinner and overnight are ordered at the hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Tazarine – Gorges of Mharech.
After breakfast in the Taourirt Kasbah, we cross the mountains of the Anti-Atlas where we depart through the port of Tizi n Tinifift to the Draa Valley. We will see various Berber villages and kasbahs in the area’s interior. The towns of N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif are left behind to reach the Gorges of Mharech. Many of these sections are to be traversed during the Dakar Rally. Dinner and overnight in a Riad.
Day 3: Mharech – Oasis Ramlia – Ouzina dunes – Merzouga
Once we arrive in Gorges of Mharech, we continue along the track of the Dakar Rally Cross to see the epiphytic plants in the “wadis”. Then, we are going to the oasis and dunes of Ouzina. Visiting the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi is our next station where the Berber villages live. The lunch is served with the accompany of a Berber family. After that, we get to the midst of Merzouga. Round the hotel, we will dive into the Desert through a magical tour leaving the sun to set and then we return to the “Haima”/ the camp in the middle of the Saharan high dunes where dinner and overnight are spent.
Day 4: Merzouga – Off-road desert tour– Visit the nomads – Merzouga.
Wake up before the dawn to watch the magnificent sunrise scene and return to the hotel for the breakfast. We will go to the Erg Chebbi, the extension of the sand desert where it is located in the Great Dune of Morocco of more than 250 meters of altitude. Tissardmin is where we will stop and continue. After that, we contemplate a panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We stop then at Khamlia listening to music from Mali. Return to lunch and then you can climb the dunes and take romantic- sunset photos. After that, dinner and overnight are at the hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Gorges of Todra – Valley of the Dades.
We depart in the direction of Rissani, the origin of the Alawi dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco. We will follow to Erfoud, the area where black stones and marine fossils are rich. Afterwards, we arrive to the Palmeral of Tafilalet where we will visit the gorges of the Roda and in the Dades Valley, the dinner and overnight are prepared at the hotel.
Day 6: The Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Skoura – Marrakech.
Leaving the valley of the ”Thousand Kasbahs” behind to pass through the stunning valley of the Roses where the palm groves of Skoura contain the most famous Kasbah in the area is going to be the end of our trip going back to Marrakesh.
